Under these trees I have picnicked, sketched, and photographed. This piece reminds us of the experiences we have with others. As I painted this, neighbors and friends stopped to say hello. My boys were hanging out near by too.

It was a memory of being together, like these trees have been together and experience the blooms and changes of the seasons through the years.

Sakura season would not be the same without our loved ones. For hundreds of years, people in Japan have gathered together with family and friends to spend time viewing and sitting under the Sakura trees. This piece honors that tradition and reminds us to savor the simple moments with our loved ones.
